As part of the Canadian Basketball Referee Development Pathway, CBOC is rolling out a comprehensive National Officials Certification Program (NOCP) from a Community Referee (Level 1), through various stages all the way to a National Referee (Level 4). At each level, officials will go through education opportunities to develop rules knowledge and practical skills to referee at the relevant level of competition.  Progress through the levels and phases is achieved through a mixture of online training, an on-court practical session, as well as assessment/evaluation.  

This training is for individuals who have had some officiating experience.

 For the NOCP Level 1 Online session, each online training module is approximately 3 hours long.  Here are the details for the upcoming sessions at a glance:

 Session 1

Date(s) – November 17 and 19, 2020

Time: 7:00-8:30pm ET (both nights – 90 minutes each)

Spots available: 20

 

Session 2

Date – November 22, 2020

Time: 4:00-7:00pm ET

Spots available: 20

 

Note: There is also a practical, on-court session included in the training, but this training will be delayed in the current health and safety environment.

Costs:

Basketball Yukon will cover the training fee of $50 per participant, which includes all materials, and training sessions. 

Participants are responsible for the $35 CBOC membership fee
